October is here, and that means plenty of dog friendly events at your local brewery! Check out our round up of some of the best dog friendly events this October! There are plenty of free events on this list, so be sure to check them out! You can find out more about any event, by simply clicking the link in the title. (Note: Please confirm all dates and times with the event coordinator as dates and times sometimes change.)
Friday, October 13 : Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade presented by Liberty Source PBC
You and your pup are invited to The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery in Ft. Monroe, Virginia, starting at 7pm. The event will include a dog costume contest, as well as an owner/pet look a like contest. There will be plenty of beer, food trucks and live music. Registration at the door is $30/dog and $10/each additional pup of the same owner.
Saturday, October 14 : Dog-O-Ween
Bring your costumed pups over to visit our friends at Coney Island Brewery in Brooklyn, New York, starting at 1pm! There will be a dog costume contest, a puppy photo booth and tricks for treats!
Saturday, October 14 : Bark-toberfest Dog Adoption!
Head over to Brüeprint Brewing Company in Apex, North Carolina, for the festivities kicking off at 4pm. You are welcome to bring your pup to enjoy some treats, or participate in their Halloween costume contest. They also will be featuring adult dogs for adoption from Pawfect Match Rescue and Rehabilitation.
Sunday, October 15 : Howl-O-Ween
If you are around Roseville, Minnesota, be sure to head over to Bent Brewstillery for their party starting at 12pm. They will have a dog centric pop up market, a small dog play area, pumpkin decorating and more. Don’t miss their dog photographer and be sure to enter your dog in their costume contest, starting at 4pm.
Thursday, October 19 : Dogs and Drinks: Dogtoberfest
Starting at 7pm, head over to The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery in Farmville, North Carolina. Dogs are welcome to come in costume, but it’s not required. Also, they ask you bring pet food and supplies for the pups over at Pitt Friends.
Friday, October 20 : Indy Pups Howl-O-Ween Fundraiser!
Head on over to Indiana City Beer in Indianapolis, Indiana, for a fundraising party starting at 6pm. Bring you dogs dressed in costume for a fun time benefiting, the International Humane Society, United States Humane Society and the local Humane Society. Get a drink ticket and a dog goody bag for $15!
Saturday, October 21 : A Growling Good Time!
Starting at 1pm, 56 Brewing in Minneapolis, Minnesota is hosting their annual event to benefit the German Shepherd and Welsh Corgi Rescue. There will be a silent auction, and $1 from select pints will be donated to the rescue.
Saturday, October 21 : 8th Annual Dogtoberfest at Heist Brewery!
Get over to Heist Brewery in Charlotte, North Carolina, starting at 2pm. The event feature live music, a dog costume contest, local vendors, raffles and adoptable pups!

Sunday, October 22 : The 5th Annual Dogtoberfest
Looking for an epic beer garden? Head over to O’Connor Brewing in Norfolk, Virginia, for their annual party starting at 1pm. The party includes live music, a dog costume contest, as well as raffles. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, you can purchase tickets here. Tickets come with a custom pint glass, a free beer and a food voucher.
Sunday, October 22 : Howl-O-Ween
This dog and family friendly event is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit. Head over to Birdsong Brewing Co., in Charlotte, North Carolina, starting at 4pm. The event will feature a costume contest, with a variety of categories (check out their Facebook for all the categories). The event will also have raffles, adoptable dogs and live music.
Wednesday, October 25 : Beer and Bingo
If you are in the Croxet, Virginia area, head over to Pro Re Nasta Brewery, starting at 6pm. Bring your pups in costume for their costume contest, and stay for the bingo. A $5 buy in allows you to play from 6-8, with 100% of proceeds from the game going to Augusta Dog Adoptions.
Thursday, October 26 : Happy Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour
Get over to Tap & Screw Brewery in Cincinnati, Ohio, for their event to benefit the National Canine Cancer Foundation. Their will be a costume contest, ice cold beer and more! They are requesting a $5 donation for NCCF at the door.
Friday, October 27 : Howl-O-Ween Dog Party
Head over to this party hosted by Columbus House in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with the party stating at 7pm. Join them for a dog costume contest, including a dog/owner costume contest!
Saturday, October 28 : SnoTown Dog Costume Party
Be sure to join the party at SnoTown Brewery in Snohomish, Washington, with the party kicking off at 5pm. Bring your furry friend and let them strut their stuff in their costume!
Saturday, October 28 : 3rd Annual Dogtoberfest
Broken Trail Brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico is hosting their 3rd Annual fest, starting at 1pm. Join them for dog carnival games, a costume contest, and food and drink specials all day long. Their Dogtoberfest will benefit New Mexico Pets Alive/NextGen Animal Shelter Project.
Saturday, October 28 : Howl-o-Ween
Join our friends over at Angel City Brewing in Los Angeles, with the party starting at noon. The event will have a costume contest, dog vendors, dog training demos and adoptable dogs from Westside German Shepherd Rescue.
Saturday, October 28 : Cosmic Brewery Annual Howl-O-ween Party
If you are in the Torrance, California area head on over to Cosmic Brewery for their all day party starting at noon. There will be a costume contest for both humans and dogs, as well as pet adoptions!
Sunday, October 29 : Down. Stay. IPA Wrap Up Party & Halloween Costume Contest
If you are in Charlotte, North Carolina, head over to Wooden Robot Brewery, for their Halloween themed event, starting at 3pm. There will be a dog costume contest, with prizes for the 3 best costumes. $1 from every beer sold will go to Leashes of Valor.
Sunday, October 29 : Halloween Yappy Hour
Head over to Southern Peak Brewery in Apex, North Carolina, with the party getting underway at 2pm. Festivities include a dog costume contest and a doggie ice cream eating contest.
Sunday, October 29 : Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Costume Contest
Get ready to strut your stuff during the Halloween Dog parade at Empirical Brewing in Chicago, Illinois. Bring your pup in costume and have them strut their stuff in the parade. Entry to the parade is $5, but admission to the party is free!
Sunday, October 29 : BarkHappy Indianapolis Howl-O-Ween Pup Crawl
There is nothing like a Halloween Pub Crawl with your pup, the crawl starts at Indiana City Beer in Indianapolis at 2pm, and continues on to Metazoa Brewing Co. afterwards. There will be dog games, drink special and raffles. The crawl is benefiting Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue. Tickets can be purchased here.
Sunday, October 29 : Dogtoberfest
Head on out to Lift Bridge Brewing in Stillwater, Minnesota for a Dogtoberfest party starting at 1pm. There will be games, raffles, food, and a costume contest for both humans and dogs. Proceeds will go to Minnesota Boxer Rescue.
Sunday, October 29 : Howl-O-Ween Canine Costume Party
Get your pups ready and head over to the costume party at Lakes & Legends Brewing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for this event starting at 2pm. Dogs as always, are welcome inside, and there will be prizes rewarded for the best costumes.
