Breweries Brewery Reviews Dog Friendly

Dog Friendly Seattle, WA Breweries

Seattle is well known for their dog friendly breweries, so when we set out on a day trip, we stumbled upon a few breweries that were super dog friendly and produced some pretty delicious beer. We stayed in downtown for the entire trip and found two breweries in particular that you have to visit if you are in the area.

Ghostfish Brewing

First we stopped at Ghostfish Brewing which is in the SoDo area of town. I will be honest; as a beer lover I was a tad bit skeptical about the fact that they are a gluten free brewery. I mean its beer, gluten plays a critical role. However, I already loved this place before I got there, the reason, they serve food and they allow dogs inside, I mean that is a real win win. We ended up settling at a table on their small patio, the weather was perfect, so we just wanted to be outside. Plus, Carter can people watch and that keeps him occupied.

Ghostfish has an extensive tap list, with a gluten free variety of beer for everyone. I settled on a Double IPA, and I’ll be honest, the name is what got me, ‘Covfefe,’ I mean how could I say no to that. I was actually super impressed with the overall taste of the beer. If I had just been served that in general I probably wouldn’t have been able to guess the beer was gluten free, though I would be able to tell something seemed a little off, but nothing I would really complain about. The beer exceeded my expectations, and the food was outstanding. I would recommend this place not only to my gluten free friends, but to anyone looking to bring their pup to a cool brewery. (Also, bonus point for them for having a sign above the bathrooms that says I love dogs and beer! Us too Ghostfish, us too!)

Cloudburst Brewing

Later that afternoon we made our way up into the touristy Pikes Place Market area. I looked for a place to bring the pup, while the others explored the market. I stumbled across Cloudburst Brewing, which was super dog friendly, and I am glad I did. The taproom isn’t too large, but at 7 on a  Saturday I had no problem finding a place to settle in with the dog.

What about their beer, oh let me tell you, the beer was outstanding. I am always a fan of a brewery where I can overlook the brewing equipment while drinking a pint, and this place doesn’t disappoint. I tried both their Friendly Reminder, a Double IPA, and Flashing Lights, and IPA. Both were outstanding and the perfect way to stay cool during the Seattle Summer. The beertenders were so nice, offering Carter a treat as soon as he walked in, and they had a couple dog bowls in the brewery allowing him easy access to water.

If you are in the Pikes Place area and looking to cut out on the crowds a bit, head over to Cloudburst Brewing, I promise you won’t regret it!
